The Marketing Specialist will implement and improve processes, workflows, and programs on the Marketing Operations team, with the goal of improving our relationships with Neighbors, Team Members, Pet Partners, and Franchisees. This team member will facilitate cross-functional collaboration between marketing, merchandising, store operations, and our franchise community. This team member must possess strong attention to detail, and top-notch organizational skills to be successful in this role.

 

Responsibilities/Qualifications

Reporting to the Marketing Manager, Operations & Marketplace, this position will focus on supporting stores through improving marketing processes and operations, as well as oversight of the Pet Supplies Plus Brand Center which contains a variety of marketing assets for use by our stores and franchise owners.  In addition, this role will support the Marketing Operations team with day-to-day functions and store support.

Strategic Priorities

  • Drive marketing direction to "think like a local store and leverage our scale".
  • Build meaningful 1:1 and community connections online and offline within 3-5 miles of a store.
  • Deliver value, convenience, and fun to increase awareness, differentiation, and likelihood of visit.
  • Collaborate with marketing, merchandising and store operations to pull the brand through online and at the store level.


The Marketing Specialist is responsible for:

  • Oversee continuity and future development of internal Brand Center, providing online branded assets, tools, and resources for stores to utilize for sales building and neighbor engagement activities. Ownership of vendor relationship.
  • Management of standard monthly sign kit, working in conjunction with design, merchandising and pet partners.
  • Maintain, organize, and create all coupon and promotional activity for the marketing team.
  • Support the Marketing Operations team with store tickets, creation of communication & training materials, and other support as needed.
  • Implement and update processes, as well as manage ad hoc projects/assignments, as needed for business objectives.

 

PAWsome Marketing Specialist candidates will have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing is preferred. 
  • Minimum 2-4 years of experience in Marketing, franchise and/or retail experience is a plus.
  • A track record in implementing and improving processes or programs within an organization, preferably on a Marketing team.
  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Proven organizational, project management & presentation skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communicator, with attention to detail.
  • A desire to learn and grow marketing acumen in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
