As a hardgoods product development intern, you’ll help bring ideas to life—from toys and apparel for dogs and cats to aquarium and habitat décor for fish and reptiles. Responsibilities/Qualifications

The Private Brand Hardgoods Intern responsibilities include:

  • Work up to 24 hours per week with flexibility if full 8 hours aren't possible.
  • · Assist in researching market trends, competitive products, and consumer insights for pet.

    · Assist with product development projects, from products to packaging.

    · Participate in brainstorming sessions for branding, packaging design, and marketing strategies.

    · Track project timelines and update development status reports.

    · Collaborate with cross-functional teams (marketing, inventory, supply chain, etc) to ensure timely execution.

    · Work with manufacturers both domestically and overseas.

    · Prepare presentations and reports for leadership on product development progress.

PAWsome Private Brand Hardgoods Intern candidates will have: 

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s program (Merchandising, Business, Marketing, or related field).
  • Passion for pets and curiosity about retail and private brands.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communicator and collaborator.
  • Superior attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint).
  • AI knowledge a plus
