The Supply Chain Inventory Analyst key responsibilities include:

  • Build and manage inventory plans in partnership with category managers and merchandise planning teams.
  • Monitor inventory across the distribution network to support service levels, in-stock rates, forecast accuracy, inventory turnover, and financial performance goals.
  • Place orders with suppliers to support customer demand while balancing service, cost, and inventory productivity.
  • Use Manhattan Active Planning and other planning tools to manage forecasts, promotions, order points, seasonality, lead times, and ordering strategies.
  • Use AI-enabled tools, automation, and data-driven insights to improve forecasting, exception management, inventory decisions, and day-to-day planning efficiency.
  • Look for ways to simplify work, improve data quality, and strengthen replenishment and planning processes.
  • Coordinate ordering and communication for vendors that support multiple product categories.
  • Support private brand inventory management, including potential involvement in import and international order management processes.
  • Partner with vendors to improve lead times, order cycles, service performance, and inventory flow.
  • Support inventory movement from vendor to distribution center and from distribution center or vendor to store.
  • Help manage end-of-life inventory and identify opportunities to improve inventory productivity.
  • Recommend improvements to inventory strategies that can increase turn, reduce unproductive inventory, and help the business meet or exceed plan.

  • A strong foundation in AI enablement, including curiosity, comfort using AI-enabled tools, and interest in applying technology to improve productivity, analysis, decision-making, and business processes.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to turn data into clear recommendations.
  • An understanding of supply chain networks and how forecasting, replenishment, service levels, and inventory productivity work together.
  • Knowledge of retail, merchandising, or consumer product concepts.
  • Leadership qualities that include taking initiative, helping drive change, and influencing others toward better ways of working.
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to explain opportunities, risks, recommendations, and results in a clear and practical way.
