Receptionist (PT- Mondays 8 AM - 4:30 PM)

Pet Supplies Plus is looking for a friendly, dependable, and service-oriented Part-time Receptionist to provide front desk and administrative support at our headquarters, known as Pet Central, in Livonia, Michigan. This role serves as a key backup resource for our Office Management and Reception team, helping ensure seamless front desk coverage during vacations, holidays, and unexpected absences.

The ideal candidate enjoys interacting with people, staying organized, and providing exceptional customer service to both our team members and the customers we proudly call Neighbors.

Work Schedule

• Dedicated in-office day: Mondays, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
• Additional hours may be available on an as-needed basis to provide coverage during vacations, holidays, sick days, meetings, and other office absences.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet visitors and provide a welcoming front desk experience.
• Answer and direct incoming telephone calls.
• Manage incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and shipping/receiving activities.
• Assist with filing, data entry, and general administrative support tasks.
• Support office operations and special projects as assigned.
• Pick up store orders and supplies from the Livonia Pet Supplies Plus store and deliver them to Pet Central
• Help maintain conference rooms, common areas, and office organization.
• Serve as a backup resource for front desk operations when primary office staff are unavailable.

Qualifications

• Minimum High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous receptionist, customer service, administrative, or office support experience preferred.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Friendly, professional, and customer-focused demeanor.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs., walk, bend, twist and drive.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for local deliveries.
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Teams, Word, and Excel.
