Accounting Associate - Revenue & Receivables - Hybrid

We have an immediate need for an Accounting Associate – Revenue & Receivables role in our corporate headquarters in Livonia, Michigan, reporting directly to the Director of Accounting and Operational Excellence.

Daily Responsibilities (80%)

• Monitor accounts receivable email inbox and ServiceDesk Plus tickets; Research and resolve as needed
• Prepare communications to franchisees and pet partners via phone or email
• Accurately prepare, post and send journals for accounts receivable and accounts payable transactions
• Deliver exceptional service to all stakeholders including franchisees, pet partners and team members

Month-end and Year-end Responsibilities (10%)

• Adhere to month-end and year-end close calendars
• Assist with audit requests as needed 

Special Projects (10%)

• Identify and support continuous process improvements and system optimization
• Assist leadership with ad hoc projects and requests 

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting with a minimum of 1 year of hands-on accounting experience
• Familiarity with basic accounting principles
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Exceptional time management and verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to multitask and remain motivated and positive
